Landgrafenplatz, Friedrichsdorf:
A Beacon of Sustainability
In Friedrichsdorf, a picturesque enclave not far from Frankfurt, a forward-looking construction project is taking shape at Landgrafenplatz. Under the motto "Green Conscience“, the vision behind it stands out clearly: the sustainable transformation of the buildings of a former clinic into diverse residential units.
The Landgrafenplatz project serves both as a reminder of historical heritage and as a harbinger of modern architecture. Just 25 kilometers from the hustle and bustle of downtown Frankfurt, this area off ers a peaceful retreat without sacrifi cing the benefi ts of proximity to the metropolis.
THESE ARE NOT JUST LIVING SPACES BEING CREATED, BUT PLACES THAT UNIFY HISTORY, PRESENT, AND FUTURE.
The concept envisions a balance between urban comfort and closeness to nature. Micro-apartments fi t in alongside mixed-use urban zones and senior-friendly multi-generational living. A total of around 80 apartments and 55 micro-apartments are being created. Monolithic structures are opened up, creating a unique microclimate. Environmental awareness shapes the project: all building facades are greened, and the renovation follows the latest ecological guidelines. The ground fl oor has commercial use, housing offi ces, galleries, and shops on an area of 1,300 square meters, leading to a revitalization of the streetscape.
The apartments of Landgrafenplatz are more than just a home. Each unit refl ects a fusion of modern design and sustainable practice. In addition to a selection of single apartments and spacious family units, the project also off ers luxurious penthouse units – an oasis of exclusivity above the rooft ops of Friedrichsdorf. Nestled in the natural beauty of the surroundings, the green building concept blends seamlessly into the landscape while promoting a small ecological footprint.

PARC DU BOIS, POTSDAM:
MODERN MEETS HISTORY
In Potsdam, Parc du Bois tells a story of elegance and changing times. The twelve standalone buildings of the heritage site "Former Lazarett Voltaireweg", embedded in park-like grounds, stand as testimonials of the past. These brick buildings in pavilion-style are sensitively revitalized, where every brick and ornament tells a tale. The garden design around the renovation object is reflected in the century-old trees standing proudly between the buildings.
Each building in Parc du Bois speaks of the past and present – from its original function as a hospital to its conversion into modern apartments. The extensive renovation preserves the charm of the past. The project combines historical substance with modern elements, and old structures are gently supplemented with extensions and attic conversions. A special feature of the project is the two-story underground garage, planned in close coordination with the monument protection authority to preserve the historical value of the site. The end result is a symbiosis: apartments that preserve the charm of bygone eras while meeting all modern comforts.
Through these two projects, it becomes clear how deeply architecture, history, and modern living standards can intertwine. These are not just living spaces being created, but places that unify history, present, and future.
